Statistics show that teenagers who have taken a driver education course are safer behind the wheel of a car. A 2018 Oregon Department of Education study found that 91% of teen drivers that had been in crashes had not taken a driver education class.

At Lane County Driving School we offer the proven O.D.O.T. certified program which keeps Oregon teens safer on the road and gives them skills to control an automobile with precision. Our program allows teens to skip the drive test at the DMV to obtain their driver's license and help reduce their auto insurance rates.

The O.D.O.T. course consists of the following:

32 hour of classroom instruction / 6 hours of behind the wheel training

6 hours observation: activity participation in the back seat while the other student driver drives the assigned approved course.

Mandatory parent meeting first class. The meeting is attended by both the parent, legal guardian, or supervising adult and the teenager attending the course.

All training materials provided and are included in the price.

More information will be handed out at Parent meeting or contact us with any questions

If a family is eligible for free or reduced lunch through their school district they may also qualify for an additional subsidy from the Oregon Department of Transportation.
