Service Description

At Lane County Driving School, we offer a proven O.D.O.T.-certified driver education program designed to help Oregon teens become safer, more confident drivers while developing the skills needed to control an automobile safely and precisely. CLASS SCHEDULE: This class runs December 7, 2026 – January 18, 2027. Classroom instruction will generally be Mondays and Tuesdays from 4:30–7:30 PM. The end time may vary by a few minutes depending on student needs, as instruction may occasionally go past 7:30 PM. Students will also have approximately one in-car driving session per week, scheduled on non-classroom days. IMPORTANT HOLIDAY SCHEDULE: This class WILL take place during Christmas holiday week, so please make sure your holiday plans allow your student to attend. After the first week, there will be no classroom instruction on December 14 & 15. This break allows additional time to complete driving sessions before the third class, as required by O.D.O.T. Classroom instruction resumes December 21 and continues Mondays and Tuesdays through January 18. Please note: The driving schedule will extend beyond the classroom portion by approximately a couple of weeks. SCHEDULING COMMITMENT: Please make sure this schedule works for you and your student before enrolling. An $80 rescheduling fee applies to any classroom session or driving appointment that must be rescheduled. The final two classroom days are mandatory and cannot be made up. If your student misses either of these days, they will be dropped from the program and you will be responsible for the remaining balance owed. REQUIRED PRACTICE: Students must complete at least 5 hours of driving practice outside of a parking lot before the first class. Students must also receive at least 1 hour of supervised driving practice at home between each Lane County Driving School drive appointment to reinforce the skills being taught. ENROLLING WITH A FRIEND: If your student is enrolling with a friend and you would like them scheduled together for driving, please tell us immediately. We will do our best to coordinate their schedules, but we cannot guarantee they will be placed together if we are not notified in advance. Please review the schedule carefully and be sure your student can commit to the full program, including the Christmas holiday week, classroom sessions, driving appointments, and required at-home practice.
